Join our Accounting & Finance team at Donaldson’s EMEA Headquarters in Leuven, Belgium, and contribute to the efficient and compliant processing of financial transactions across multiple European entities. As an Associate Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting our i-Expense and corporate card processes while collaborating closely with various internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming expense reports for multiple Donaldson entities within EMEA
  • Support the rollout and ongoing use of the i-Expense and corporate card programs
  • Identify, flag, and clarify unusual or non-compliant expenses in line with company policies, including the Donaldson global travel policy
  • Respond to internal inquiries and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
  • Manage corporate card administration, including new cardholders, updates, and departures via the bank platform and Oracle
  • Perform i-Expense checks, including mileage reimbursement updates and allowances
  • Support the Shared Service Center where needed
  • Assist with backup planning within the Accounts Payable team
  • Contribute to ad hoc accounting-related projects
  • Assist with month-end closing activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • An eye for details and processes
  • Proficiency in PC tools, especially Excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work accurately, and meet deadlines
  • Strong team spirit and motivation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Tax, or equivalent through experience
  • Familiarity with analytical bookkeeping
  • First experience as an Assistant Accountant, ideally in an international environment
  • Experience with Oracle or another ERP system
  • Additional language skills are an asset
  • Experience providing support within shared service accounting environments
