I’m currently working with an automation system/robotics integrator who are looking for a engineer skilled in PLC programming to join their site in Kortrijk. They provide turnkey solutions around new installations, optimisations and retrofits for their clients in a range of industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and configure PLC control systems.
  • Work on completely new automation projects or optimise existing systems.
  • Analyse current setups with the goal of improving efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with the customer and internal team to define and test required specifications.
  • Take full responsibility for the testing process, from development to final commissioning.
  • Provide training to end users during implementation, including on-site sessions abroad if required.

Qualifications:

  • A technical bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven experience with one or more PLC control systems.
  • Knowledge of SCADA & robotics is a plus.
  • Capability in involvement for automation projects from A-Z, including budgeting, dealing with the clients while being involved in the hands on aspect.
  • Willing to travel abroad up to 4 times a year for testing & commissioning.
  • Fluency in Dutch is required.
