About The Job ????????‍????

Key responsibilities✅

We are looking for a backend developer to become a key member of our technical team. As a backend developer, you will work in close collaboration with your direct colleagues in an Agile environment.

What you’ll be doing as a backend developer at Qualifio (don’t worry you won’t be alone):

  • Collaborate with a team of developers and project managers on various projects with a large technical scope. The tasks are very diverse, we trust you’ll never get bored.
  • Design and develop and analyse features and standard ways of integrating with Qualifio.
  • Supervise, share your knowledge and best practices with junior team members and take care of reviews (merge/pull requests).
  • Assess and improve the performance of existing and new code.
  • Design standard public APIs and SDK.
  • Integrate with best in class CI/CD toolchain based on GitOps.

These are some of the projects and challenges you’ll be working on as a backend developer at Qualifio:

  • Helping us finalise our transition to a full microservices architecture.
  • Make proper use of AI in everything that we do.
  • Designing systems able to sustain thousands of requests per second.
  • Integrating with new partners and clients to make Qualifio a key element in their data value chain.
  • Optimising the performance of the system.
  • Maintaining the high level of security expected by our clients.
  • Writing, testing and documenting clean code.
  • Reducing our feature time to production.
  • Work with and for big customers such as Nestle, L’Oreal EMEA, Unilever (and many others)

By working on these challenges, you will not only participate in revolutionising the way Qualifio works but you will also explore the inner depths of both soft and programming skills.

About your skills and qualifications, here are all the topics important for us (but we understand nobody can be an expert in everything)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or any equivalent job-related experience. your degree is valued, but your experience is equally important
  • Extensive experience using the Node.js/Typescript
  • Expertise in databases (SQL and/or NoSQL such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Elastic…)
  • A good understanding of asynchronous programming, its quirks, and workarounds
  • Proficiency in establishing user authentication and authorisation between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Good understanding of code versioning tools, especially Git (Gitlab, Github…)
  • Performance and latency awareness
  • Ability to implement automated testing with Cypress and unit tests with Jest
  • Awareness of accessibility and data privacy compliance (GDPR)
  • Fluent in English and French, knowledge of other languages are a plus.

  • Good communication skills.
