The Opportunity

As a Business Intelligence analyst, you will be responsible for the development of our BI tool in the company, with Self Service BI as guideline in all your actions. You improve permanently our BI environment by implementing new and clear user friendly features for the business, you help users to grow in competence using the tool, and you bring the company to a new level of Business Intelligence by implementing advanced and performant BI solutions compatible with new mobile technologies.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include

· As a Business Intelligence analyst, you are working within the BI Business Team.

· Self Service BI is implemented within the company. The role of the BI Business Team, in collaboration with the datawarehouse team, is to put at disposal of the business a performant BI environment and support the Business in their developments.

· Your main responsibility is to manage and develop efficiently the Self Service BI, so that the business users can use and build themselves, or with help of the BI team, performant and innovative BI solutions.

· You develop and implement new advanced functionalities in the BI tool of the company (WebFocus), so that end users can use the BI tool on a more efficient and performant way, using the most recent technologies.

This includes in particular developments of portals and dashboards on mobile devices

· You are working in close collaboration with the WebFocus administrator, and you are able to take all necessary actions as backup of the WebFocus administrator.

· You are the architect of the single version of the truth for the community of BI users : centralized definitions, portals, centralized reports, new or adapted masterfiles with centralized business concepts, etc.

· You respond to business requirements, you build and deploy new reports and changes in the masterfiles.

· You are working in close collaboration with the datawarehouse team, in order to make the changes in the databases available with clear business description for the business users

· As a BI specialist, you provide trainings and support to the users to help them improve their BI skills in the Self Service BI perspective.

Your Profile

· You have at least 5 years experience with a BI tool as well from an administrator as from a user point of view

· Experience with WebFocus and Appstudio is a plus

· You have a strong analytical mind, with deep interest for the business

· You are client and result oriented, you like to investigate and search for solutions to all problems you encounter

· You are assertive, autonomous, proactive and flexible

· You have a very good knowledge of BI tools and BI architecture

· You have a good understanding of SQL and PL/SQL

· You have a good understanding of Oracle or similar Database Management Systems

· A perfect knowledge of English is required, knowledge of French or Dutch can be a plus
