About the opportunity

We are searching for an experienced SaaS CFO to join our executive leadership team and help us on our growth journey. In the past investment rounds we raised 21M€ in funding. 83North is leading our 2021 investment, with existing investors Hi Inov, 10x Group and 42CAP also participating. This is an incredible opportunity to work at a high-growth technology startup in customs & international trade. It’s a role where you can have a huge organisational impact, providing tactical and strategic value and lead the finance practice to the next level. As a seasoned strategist, you not only understand current accounting practices and trends but have proven experience raising capital and adapting to change in hyper-growth scenarios.

Duties

• Advisor to CEO: you will contribute to the wider discussion, strategy, and execution of C4T’s ambition with an entrepreneurial lens and help drive the company’s financial strategy to balance growth and profitability. You will orchestrate and co-own the execution of the financial plan.
  
• Owner of all broad finance-related functions including all accounting, procurement, banking, taxes, insurances and supervision of FP&A department
• Ensure legal, security and IT Compliance, including ISO certifications.
• Partnering with Operations: understand the operations of each team, challenge other leaders, and act as a facilitator. You pull together the overall financial story. You are heavily involved in OKR and KPI setting to ensure company-wide alignment.
  
• Long-term Value Creation: develop a good understanding of the business and armed with data, you act as the financial architect of value creation. You understand where investments must be made in the business to drive growth and value. Technology: create a technology roadmap for finance and accounting.
  
• Leadership: Build best-in-class finance team and manage well your direct reports.
• Board of Directors (BoD) updates

Skills and qualifications

• Experience in financial leadership positions with international scope, specifically UK and continental Europe
• Proven track in VC-backed, high-growth SaaS companies
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a reputation for integrity and ownership
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities and ambiguity
• Effective communicator, able to build relationships to drive organisational change
• Deep understanding of accounting, financial, tax, and corporate financial laws and regulations
• Demonstrated experience with raising capital and debt within a business
• Strong analytical, data analysis, financial modelling, and forecasting skills
