Job DescriptionCarmeuse is a Belgian based world leader in the lime industry, founded in 1860 and is still a family owned business. The group is structured in 4 regions the Americas, Europe, Middle East Asia and Overseas, the latter one taking care of the rest of the world, with a special focus on Africa.Job Description
  • Developing breakthrough products and processes focussing on reducing, capturing, using or sequestrating CO 2
  • Continuously improving and consolidating the scientific and technical knowledge related to CO 2 technologies relevant for Carmeuse
  • Supporting our operation or our customers in the implementation of new solutions
  • Providing scientific and technical advises to all functional and operational departments
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to R&D and First of a Kind projects in collaboration with academic and industrials partnersµ
  • Apply creative thinking, analysis and good judgement to propose innovative concepts, new products and new processes
  • Plan and follow laboratory, pilot and industrial trials
  • Analyse, interpret test results and write scientific reports
  • Perform process simulation and mathematical modeling
  • Watch scientific and technical literature
  • Support patent drafting
Ideal candidateEducation: Master or doctorate degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or materialsExperience: Some years of experience in R&D, production, process or products development will be considered as valuable professional asset.Soft skills:
