We are looking for aCommercial Enablement Lead - Mechelen, BE/London, UK/Basel, CH
Your Responsibilities
- Lead a high performing team in the areas of CI, forecasting, business analytics, SFE/CRM, training and C&E by providing strong leadership, hiring, developing and retaining top talent, with the ability to motivate and engage individuals
- Gather relevant customer data
- analyze monthly/ quarterly sales, customers data, segmentation and channels activity data
- support the planning and execution of market researches for global and countries
- use agile methodology to plan, design and run pilots and rapid measurement of impact
- established and managed operations for commercial channels (e.g. CRM, digital, training) including new geographies and launches
- translate data into relevant insights
- customer interface design
- model, plan and update international commercial scenarios (from patient prevalence to revenues), with the guidance of the brand leaders
- create models for bottom-up sales forecasting and scenario planning with country commercial leaders
- analyze customer data to define profiles, preferences and other insights relevant for channel and brand strategies, in alignment with franchise and country leaders
- summarize all above in KPIs and executive reports maintained and distributed regularly
- define with the business and country leaders the blueprint of our interaction with customers
- Owns regional analytics, forecasting process & capabilities & market research capabilities
- Identifies and supports the rollout of tools related to Account planning and Analytics tools (margin management, CRM, etc)
- Leads and coordinates the implementation of Commercial Excellence initiatives
- Develops and implements, together with the Sales and Marketing department, different marketing and sales projects in line with the strategic imperatives of the organization
- Contributes to sales and marketing strategy decisions and playing a critical role in designing and monitoring commercial approach
- Sets KPIs and performance management process, assess performance, identify performance gaps and drivers, develop remediation/action plans and deploy resources as needed
- Selects and manages vendors, ensure are adding value to the department and commercial teams. (across, Data, market research, analytics)
- Leads integrated customer engagement plan according to brand strategy
- Identifies, activates and drives adoption of adequate (digital) channels and content per customer segment
- Supports localization and execution of integrated campaigns and journeys
- Proactively brings suggestions to the Galapagos leadership team on how to optimize sales effectiveness
- Independently leads high profile projects
- Higher educational degree (BSc, MSc)
- Minimum of 10 years experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Minimum of 5 years leading Commercial Excellence
- Should have direct experience of leading either Commercial Excellence function of several of the sub-depts
