How would you like to have a chance to create the narrative that accelerates the shift to renewable energy?
By being part of the communications team at Virya Energy, you will be working for one of Belgium’s leading sustainable energy pioneers.
You will help build the Virya Energy image globally as well as to help its entities (Parkwind and Eoly) expand internationally.
You will be in charge of creating engaging, relevant content for media partners and our own communication channels (e.g. internet, social media,). Together with the project teams, you will also be at the forefront of engaging in dialogue with our project stakeholders internationally.
Internally, your communications role will promote the company culture, its values and ensure that information flows easily throughout the company. You will help make every employee feel like they are a part of the same office no matter where in the world they are working from.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting a communication strategy for key projects
- Creating content to promote our vision and mission.
- Developing the ideal communications toolbox for projects.
- Maintain media relations with key industry and public press contacts.
- Support in organizing external and internal events.
- Develop internal campaigns to promote internal company initiatives.
Your profile:
- Experience of at least 5 years in a professional environment.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or other related field.
- Expertise in developing and executing integrated communications strategies, internally and externally.
- You have experience in working with internal and external senior stakeholders
- You have experience in representing an organisation at an international level
- Experience in advocacy campaigns is a plus.
- Full proficiency in English and Dutch. German and/or French is a plus.
- You can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- You can write coherent, easy-to-understand and easy-to-read texts on complex topics.
- you have experience in organizing events.
- you have a structured approach, eye for detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- You are a real self-starter, with strong sense of ownership, but also comfortable working in a team environment.
- You have a good understanding of branding and brand image and how to consistently apply it in everyday communication
- You have a strong understanding and knowledge of the latest trends on social media and how to use it in a professional environment (particularly related to employer branding)
- You have experience in website management, both content and website development itself (CMS)
- Experience in Graphic Design (e.g. Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator) is an asset.
