Functie:

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will help to design Colruyt Group’s AI story and keep your finger on the pulse concerning information technologies. You put your back into numerous innovative projects and you work with state-of-the-art hardware and software. A challenging job with impact!

You will work at Smart Technics, a multi-disciplinary team of innovation and technology experts, driving Colruyt Group at a technological level with digital and innovative projects. You are the internal expert and contact for computer vision hardware/software and AI.

Your tasks in a nutshell:

• You keep a finger on the pulse with regard to the latest innovations in information technology.
• You develop and process algorithms for camera calibration, object recognition and localisation.
• You design hardware set-ups and integrate computer vision solutions with innovative concepts.
• You learn, test, evaluate and retest all (new) technologies in the field of computer vision and AI. This is what makes your job a challenging one!
• You process data from (3D) cameras and sensors such as LIDAR, ultrasonic, etc. A nice example is our Smart Farming technology used for tracking plant ripeness and diseases by means of smart cameras and technology. You will participate in similar projects and thus make your mark within Colruyt Group!

You will work in our head office in Halle or Haasrode, and work up to 2 days a week form home or from one of our regional offices (Deinze, Haasrode, Mechelen or Merelbeke, amongst others).

Profile:

• Education and experience - You have a master’s degree in industrial sciences. Experience in a similar position? Great! No experience yet? You are also very welcome at Colruyt Group as a recent graduate. We provide training that fits in with your experience and needs.
• Analytical capacity - You can process all sorts of information and tasks in a short time and without losing track of the bigger picture.
• Thinking in terms of problem-solving - You think in terms of solutions and you always remain calm when an issue surfaces. Problems? These are challenges to do better!
• Flexible - You will be given a full-time contract with flexible office hours, but working a little longer every now and then is not a problem for you.
• Goal-oriented - You are not easily daunted by things and you go straight to the point.
• Languages - You communicate fluently in Dutch and you have a good knowledge of English, so that you will be able to work together well with your colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
