For DEME, process improvement to enhance business performance is of uttermost importance. Therefore we have an internally-developed methodology based on the principles of Lean and Six Sigma to support and guide strategic projects from scratch. Currently we are looking for a Continuous Improvement/Project Controls Engineer to join the team.

Your responsibilities

  • You work in our HQ Zwijndrecht offices as part of our Drive & Project controls team.
  • You will support our dredging projects with the implementation of a structured continuous improvement approach & follow-up.
  • You assist our dredging projects in providing the right reporting tools by translating the project specific requirements into the right KPI’s and corresponding reports.
  • You collaborate with project teams, both during the preparation and the execution of our projects worldwide.
  • You improve together with an internal team the existing reporting tools and associated databases.
  • You will be based in our head office and work mainly in Belgium, but short missions abroad will be part of your job.

Your profile

  • You have a Masters degree in engineering (civil, industrial, commercial) or experienced in Data Analytics
  • Experience as project controls experience has a strong preference
  • IT affinity & interest is a must (Excel, PowerBI,...), knowledge of SQL, Python, … is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma is an advantage
  • Knowledge of dredging activities is an advantage
  • Analytical and communication skills are key.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of any other language is a strong asset.
