As the leader of our logistics business and operations in Belgium, you will be responsible for the development and balanced growth of our business and people.As the Country Manager, you’ll also be responsible for operational excellence and maintaining and continuously improving ’Scoober’ quality throughout the Courier’s experience, customer support, supply chain/logistics management, and service quality management.This role requires excellent collaboration across different functional and specialized teams and can bridge the gap with the City, Country, and HQ teams. We need leaders that are innovators and can build, mentor, and encourage strong teams to reach their potential. We believe in solving local problems with local solutions, so understanding your market and delivering custom messages is important.It’s the intersection of the analytical with the creative that makes the Scoober Country Manager a difficult job to fill and the impact on our people and our business that makes it such a phenomenal job to have!As a member of the Scoober Leadership Team you will report directly to the Regional Director, based in JET’s headquarters in Amsterdam.In This Role You Will
  • Be the face of Scoober in Belgium. Act as the leading force for one of our markets with the biggest room to grow across Europe - develop and champion the strategy, and mobilize resources to execute the strategy
  • Identify and deliver growth initiatives such as geographic expansion, restaurant delivery area optimisation and service time extensions.
  • Be accountable for the quality of delivery service and associated KPI’s that impact couriers, customers, restaurants and internal stakeholders
  • Share responsibility with the finance team for the commercial outcomes from operating the service, this includes forecasting, budget management and leading optimisation strategy and execution
  • Take responsibility for the management of escalated incidents involving the delivery service
  • Ensure the delivery service is operated compliantly and with a high regard for the safety of all stakeholders involved
  • Communicate product/process needs to HQ, work with product/engineering to deliver on them
  • Work with Central Ops and other Country Managers to help scale our Logistics service in existing and to other cities through developing and sharing best practices
  • Lead, manage and develop a highly engaged and talented team of direct reports
  • Continue to grow and build upon today to drive a sustainable business for tomorrow
  • Champion our culture and employee brand
  • Lead commercial efforts with 3rd party logistics providers.
  • Lead local regulatory concerns and local politics in partnership with our Policy, Legal, and Communications teams
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to initiate creative local strategies and courier growth campaigns

  • 8+ years of experience within a Strategy / Operations / General Management role.
  • High commercial and strategic acumen; logical and quick thinking, with a first rate attention to detail
  • Very strong numerical and analytical ability

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently
  • Resilience; proven ability to work under pressure, to deadlines, and respond to unplanned events as required
  • Self-motivation with the ability to thrive in a fast moving, ever changing environment
  • Be flexible and available to connect with and attend out of office hour meetings with global colleagues regularly
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and inspire a high performing multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrable experience identifying, initiating and executing highly successful strategic and/or operational initiatives
  • Fluency in Flemish, French and English
