About the job:
Based in Braine L’Alleud, BEL you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the NATO Infrastructure Services Centre (NISC), which is accountable for planning and executing the full lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for the identified area of responsibility. NISC provides generic, domain independent, technical functionality that enables and facilitates the operation and use of Information Technology resources.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Digital Infrastructure Engineer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
- Information Security (security controls, security risks, risk assessments etc.)
- System Design (Design system components, create design views, design specifications etc.)
- System Integration and Build (Providetechnical expertise, collaborate with technical teams, recommend and implement tools and process improvements etc.)
- Infrastructure/Software (install and maintain services, monitor software and infrastructure, identify operational problems etc.)
About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
- At least 2 years practical experience in the designing, implementing, and managing the underlying technology, software and hardware components that ensure the smooth functioning of servers, storage systems, data centers, and cloud services.
- Strong understanding of monitoring principles, best practices, and methodologies.
- Scripting skills with PowerShell or other relevant scripting languages for automation tasks in SCOM
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) solutions.
- SQL query language - hands on experience.
- SCOM management pack tuning experience, good knowledge of industry best practice.
- Experience integrating SCOM with visualization tools and other IT management and ticketing systems.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
