About Our Client

Our client is an impartial body specialized in the inspection and certification of construction products for the road and infrastructure sector, such as concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Their 60 employees contribute daily to improving quality in construction, staying on top of new trends, and fostering the sustainability of tomorrow.

Due to their expanding activities, they are seeking a Digital Transformation Manager to oversee and shape their digital transformation.

Job Description

The Digital Transformation Manager helps establish the digitization strategy and is responsible for its implementation.

After a training period, you will oversee various digitization projects:
  • You will develop into an expert in the digitization of our activities.
  • Depending on the project, you will collaborate with internal staff and external partners and report to the Support Manager.
  • You identify opportunities and anticipate new developments in digitization.
  • You assess the feasibility and risks associated with new digitization projects.
  • You monitor time allocation, financial expenditures, and requirements for digitization projects.
  • You organize meetings with internal managers and external partners of specific digitization projects and provide guidance.
  • You follow external needs related to digitization and data exchange.
  • When necessary, you liaise with certificate holders, public construction authorities (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels), other certification or inspection bodies, contractors, etc.
You will work from the office in Zellik, but after the onboarding period, there is the possibility to work from home several days a week.

The Successful Applicant

They are looking for a candidate who:
  • Is passionate about digitization.
  • (Bonus) With experience in the construction sector.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience.
  • Has strong project management skills.
  • Keeps up with the latest technological advancements.
  • Thinks in terms of solutions and demonstrates a problem-solving mindset.
  • Is an effective communicator.
  • Can work independently but also thrives in a team environment, contributing positively to group dynamics.
  • Speaks Dutch and/or French fluently and has a good command of English.
