5V Tech are currently working in partnership with a client close to Leuven, in Belgium. They are a pioneer in the network systems sector and are constantly driving innovation further. They offer a great work-life balance and are proud to be able to offer a hybrid model, 3 days working from home, and 2 days working on-site.

They are looking for an ambitious Embedded Software Team Leader to be part of an R&D team of 17 people spread over 3 countries: France, Belgium, and India, working on Access System & Driver Embedded Software. As an R&D Team leader, you would handle anything from managing, assisting, and monitoring your team of 10 junior and mid-level developers. Making sure that your tasks and projects meet deadlines and stay within budget, will of course be one of your primordial objectives.

Though this role might seem like it is heavily centered on being a Team Leader; 75% of your time would be focused on working on technical development and providing assistance to colleagues.

You will need to be highly proficient in coding in C and developing Linux drivers. Having knowledge of networks, broadband, and telecommunication environment and processor architectures (ARM/PowerPC/Intel) will be necessary, due to the nature of the role.

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or Software Development
  • Fluency in Englishas well as a good level in either French or Dutch would be a huge bonus point
