Within VYNCKE more than 30 Project Field Engineers are working every day to erect and commission our biomass plants on site and complete them to perfection. To strengthen this team, we are looking for a Field Team Manager for one of our operational units, mainly focused on Europe.

As Project Field Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled and enthusiastic Site Managers and Commissioning Engineers, responsible for coordinating all activities during the different stages of setting up large and complex VYNCKE installations.

ABOUT THE JOB

• You will mentor, motivate, and guide your remote team in erecting and commissioning technical turnkey installations, spread across Europe.
• You will establish strong contacts to further build your team with the right people (both internal and external) and ensure they can give their best. You create a culture of collaboration and professionalism.
• You refine your team’s working methods and tools to ensure that projects are built and commissioned as safely and efficiently as possible. You map out the current way of working and improve and structure where necessary.
• Together with Project Field Team Managers from the other units, you standardize field processes and exchange best practices.
• You are accountable to ensure that planning, organizing, and coordinating your resources on our large industrial projects is done in the best possible way, both for your team and for the client.
• Your proactive focus on safety and quality ensures that your team can always work in safe conditions.
• You work closely with Sales Managers and Project Managers to ensure that site management is budgeted and monitored as correctly as possible. You succeed in making the right choices for the future based on budget analyses.
• You report to the Unit Manager.

ABOUT YOU

• You have at least 20 years of experience in an international industrial environment, preferably with large-scale capex projects
• You combine solid people management experience with a background in construction site management.
• Your decisiveness, leadership skills and can-do attitude define you. As a natural leader, you manage to inspire and motivate your team to achieve success together.
• You combine collaboration and communication skills, with an eye for structural improvements. You succeed in defusing friction with customers or suppliers when needed.
• You are based in Harelbeke and willing to travel 10% to 20% of your time (short trips in Western-Europe mainly)
• You are fluent in English. Any other European language is an asset.
