For our finance team at Janssen Pharmaceutica in Beerse, we are looking for a financial controller. In this role, you will work for Janssen Benelux, which is responsible for the marketing and sales of the Janssen & Actelion portfolio of products in the Benelux. The Janssen Benelux Business Unit Finance team provides strategic financial support to the commercial organization of Janssen Benelux and ensures that value creation is central to the decision-making process.

You will be part of our tean of finance consultants working on-site at Janssen in Beerse (in combination with working from home). For our finance team at Janssen Pharmaceutica in Beerse, we are looking for a financial controller. In this role, you will work for Janssen Benelux, which is responsible for the marketing and sales of the Janssen & Actelion portfolio of products in the Benelux.   • key responsibilities

    • You will be assigned a number of departments and contacts and will proactively manage the budget for them in collaboration with the finance director and manager. You will take actions to keep this budget within target (a.o. OPEX analysis and spending, P&L,...). You also lead the closings and reporting processes (monthly, quarterly, yearly) for this spending.
    • You are the person who makes sure that order approval flows are respected and you make sure that all cost centers are correctly assigned (checking data).
    • You participate in headcount reporting and the intercompany chargeback process, and make suggestions to optimize these.
    • You check whether all procedures and guidelines relating to previous areas have been respected (internal procedures, compliance, etc.).
    • You contribute to the innovative mindset of the team and think about process optimization.
    • You are a real business partner for your departments and contacts and work proactively, analytically and customer-oriented.
    • To this end, you follow the external (macro) economic trends and identify possible financial consequences that could affect the business. On this basis, you and the team innovate financial processes and implement new technologies in function of continuous improvement and value creation.

  • qualifications

    • You have a master’s degree in economics/finance or equivalent level of thinking.
    • You already have experience in financial controlling.
    • You have very good knowledge of MS Excel. Knowledge of Ariba, SAP, Signify, BI... are highly recommended.
    • You speak good Dutch and English.
