About Our Client

Our client is a well-established Financial Services firm.

Job Description

  • Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and controls in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and monitoring to identify areas of improvement and ensure that the business adheres to risk management policies.
  • Work closely with the first line of defense to provide support, guidance, and oversight to ensure that compliance risks are identified and managed effectively.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on compliance requirements for the organization by keeping abreast of regulatory updates and changes and providing training and support to the employees as necessary.
  • Conduct investigations and reviews of compliance-related incidents and breaches, and assist in their resolution and mitigation.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Law, Business, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a compliance role within financial services, insurance, or investment management industries
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience in performing compliance assessments, monitoring, and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders and management at all levels
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve complex issues
  • Professional certifications
