We design and manufacture sensor-based sorting machines and integrated post-harvest solutions for the food industry, using the world’s most advanced grading, sorting, peeling, and analytical technology. Our mission is to enable our customers to improve returns, gain operational efficiencies, and ensure a safe food supply via smart and easy-to-use technologies. To achieve this, we operate centers of excellence, regional offices, and manufacturing locations within the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.
We are currently looking for an experienced supply chain professional to join our HQ team to lead demand management, master scheduling and the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process.
The role is based in Tomra Food’s HQ in Leuven and will be initially offered for a period of 6-months on freelance contract basis with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
Your key responsibilities will be to
- Lead a project to install a standard monthly rolling S&OP process, which translates the Sales forecast into an Operations (supply, production, sourcing and inventory) plan.
- Schedule and perform monthly S&OP calls with the sales regions to handshake on the S&OP plan and follow up on deviations.
- Responsible of communicating timelines with Sales for near-term opportunities.
- Responsible of creating supply plan proposals to efficiently meet demand (uses what-if scenario planning) aligned with the Factory/Operations manager.
- Lead the process for supply-demand balancing, constraints, lead times and forward-looking projections with a visibility for up to one year based upon confirmed sales and forecast sales.
- Monitor and review the realization of the plans together with the stakeholders (Production planning – Supply Chain Operations - Procurement – Sales – Service - Finance) and incorporate changes into the plan if necessary.
- Responsible of establishing a consensus demand planning.
- Oversee master production scheduling for high-level production plans.
- Responsible of loading the approved supply plan in the ERP system (IFS) as a forecast demand and ensure MRP accuracy.
- Set up and maintain machine reference planning BOM’s in IFS.
- Machine delivery lead time management: evolve from standard lead times to dynamic lead times depending on machine configuration, production capacity, component availability.
- Manage phasing in and phasing out of machines in close cooperation with Product Management, Sales and Project Management. The aim is to introduce new machines in-time according the agreed introduction schedule and phase-out machines without obsolete finished machines, sub-assemblies and components.
- Demo machine management.
- Actively build networks in an outside TOMRA to stay informed about new developments, insights, tools and processes.
- Continuously drive better business practice and increased value to the business through measurement and improvement of key performance indicators.
Your profile
- Availability to start at short notice and on a fulltime basis.
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management.
- Pioneering spirit, process-oriented, passionate about developing a new department within TOMRA at the center of the business activity.
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management and S&OP.
- 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain including strong track record with implementation and leading S&OP processes in a multi-site multi-country B2B environment.
- Knowledge of SC tools, platforms and major ERP. Experience with IFS is a strong asset.
- Capable of facilitating and chairing meetings in a professional way.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with all internal stakeholders.
- Excellent level of English, both verbal and written.
- Proactive, analytical, stress-tolerant (conflict management skills), team player and quick learner.
- Can aggregate large amounts of data, filter for importance and tie together in a concrete and relevant summary designed to drive action.
- Comfortable in a fast changing, dynamic environment.
- Eager to learn.
- Self-motivated and autonomous.
- Accurate & works in structured manner.
- Excellent knowledge of MS OFFICE (Word, Excel,…).
