A company active in the manufacturing sector is currently looking to hire a GL Accountant to join their offices in Walloon Brabant. Thanks to your experience in accounting, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role.

Your main responsibilities as the new GL Accountant will include:

  • Maintaining your assigned ledger in accordance with corporate policies, IFRS and French and Belgian GAAP
  • Review the accounting entries performed by AP, AR and Bank and perform entries such as accruals, deferrals and reclassifications as needed for our Belgian and French legal entities
  • Perform analyses regarding Balance Sheet, including explanations and documentation
  • Responsible for VAT declarations and control
  • Manage monthly and year end closing activities and reporting independently for the tow legal entities

Your profile:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
  • You have a proven experience as a GL Accountant
  • You are fluent in French with a good knowledge in English, Dutch or German is an asset

Your strengths:

  • You are able to work with targets and tight deadlines
  • You are able to work in a Matrix organisation
  • You are self-driven, able to influence decision making process
  • You have excellent communication skills, resilience, assertiveness and have a sense of urgency
  • You had a first experience in People Management or you are willing to have one
