E2 Drivesis a young engineering company active in electric mobility. E2 Drives is specialized in mechanics, electronics, electric motor design and embedded control.
In recent years, they developed an innovative and disruptivepowertrainforelectric bikes. This patented technology offers comfort, robustness and performance to the cyclist thanks to its all-in-one and internalautomatic gearboxdesign. E2 Drives mission is to revolutionize the way people are commuting, thanks to its disruptive eBike propulsion system. E2 Drives recently concluded a partnership withDecathlonand plans to become aebike motor leader in the ten coming years.
E2 Drives is preparing the market launch of its first generation of motors and starts working on a second generation of motors to enlarge the eBike motor offer. The tech company is based in Genval (a nice place in the South-East of Brussels) and can count on a team of 16 young, dynamic and smart professionals.
In order to continue the growth of E2 Drives, we are looking for a (m/f)Hardware Engineer.
Your role
Reporting to the CTO, you are in charge of specification, design and implementation of electronic hardware projects. Your role is to design, simulate and validate circuits based on the latest industry standards.
You will be part of a development and innovation team, along with other hardware and software engineers.
Your main tasks as a Hardware Engineer
- Design circuit topologies with focus on power and analog functions.
- Write specifications and review product designs according to them.
- Test and validate the produced prototypes
- Report work evolution on a regular basis.
What is your profile?
- Master in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (EE).
- 0 to 3 years experience in electronics design, simulation and testing.
- Knowledge in power and analog electronics.
- Good knowledge of C, Matlab and Python is a plus
- Knowledge Altium or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with electronic laboratory equipment.
- Seek and solve complex electrical problems.
- Used to the engineering/scientific method (Background Research, Hypothesis, Analytical solving, Simulation, Design, Prototype Testing).
- Analytical mind, autonomous, proactive and result-oriented.
- Attracted by working in a scale-up environment.
- Good command of English. The command of French is a plus.
