The Context

The application landscape within AXA Belgium’s Corporate Insurance department is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Previously comprised of a diverse set of legacy applications, AXA is focused to build a coherent set of applications, around a common domain, each one is tailored to meet the specific needs of its intended audience.

Within the IT department, we are looking to reinforce the P&C Corporate Sales domain, that is responsible for the “Commercial Lines” applications. These applications serve to various stakeholders, including brokers, end clients, and internal users. Simultaneously, our team is driving a comprehensive, multi-year transformation program. This program entails the implementation of a new offering application, along with an extensive review and modernization of the product roadmap, application landscape, and business processes.

The team’s technical environment is composed by the following tools and technologies:

• Front-end in Angular 14 with NodeJS 14 and npm 6
• Back-end in Java 8 or 17 using REST API, Spring Boot and Hibernate (PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases)
• Applications deployed in AWS
• Version control using GitHub and Github flow

Roles and responsibiliies

• Collaborate with Epic Manager, Solution Architect, Requirement Engineers, System Analysts and Lead Developers;
• Gather and understand business needs in full autonomy and translate them into detailed analysis to be used by System Analysts and/or developers.
• Participate to the application functional and technical design to help creating a solution that our customers love to use;
• Analyse and evaluate existing systems and proposing improvements where necessary;
• Assist the business in defining needs rather than prescribing solutions, prioritizing them appropriately and adopting a minimum viable product (MVP) approach;
• Be adaptable and ready to step in and support the team when required, even if it means going beyond your usual responsibilities.
• Progressively evolve to a lead BA, supervising the whole functional coverage of the Corpo Sales landscape and coaching junior BA colleagues on the same

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field ;
• Experience in complex technical environments is a plus ;
• Able to design and analyse end-to-end processes ;
• Experience in banking or insurance domains is a plus ;
• Analytical mindset, proactive, good communication skills and not afraid to take the lead ;
• Knowledge and/or expertise in application design, data management, business rules, process modelling, performance analysis, databases, BPMN and Agile/scrum environment ;
• Experience with technical environment involving technologies like Angular, Java, Mainframe/Cobol, is a plus;
• Fluent in English, and at least in one other national language (Dutch / French)
