How can you contribute?

Due to the increasing workload following Eurofins’ growth, sales and production process standardization activities, we are looking for an IT Functional Analyst to join one of our teams responsible for an in-house developed application.

As an IT Functional Analyst within our ComLIMS Program, you will:

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Architects on design proposals, implementation plans, gap and data analysis;
• Understand the technical implementation at a high level with the help of the Development Team and Architects;
• Write clear and well-structured specifications (User Stories) for bugs and new functionalities, including detailed acceptance criteria;
• Follow-up User Stories end-to-end in the Scrum team you are involved in, including: user story priority management, preparing and leading various scrum meetings, assisting Developers and QA team members during user story implementation phase;
• Closely interact with QA team members during acceptance criteria refinement meetings, test case reviews, sprint demo meetings;
• Assist Business Analysts in UML modelling and service contract creation and review;
• Provide assistance to the third line support of the application;
• Assist with the qualification of releases in close cooperation with the Program’s release management team and key stakeholders;
• Manage documentation with a high quality level: release notes, second line support release presentations, etc.;
• Manage reporting activities, including reporting on delays, bugs and implementation risks.

Are you our kind of extraordinary?

• Bachelor Degree in Science, Engineering, IT or similar;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is required;
• Experience in software implementation methodologies is desirable;
• Experience with software development management tools (e.g. TFS) is desirable;
• Strong skills in developing User Stories and UI mockups is an asset;
• Understanding of and experience with UML is an asset;
• Hands-on experience writing simple queries on SQL Server is a plus;
• First experience with Scrum is a plus;
• Knowledge of Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) is a plus;
• Excellent critical thinking, detail-orientated and concise documentation and specification skills;
• Strong English communication skills (written/oral). Knowledge of another language is a plus.

Eurofins’ ComLIMS Program (ComLIMS is derived fromCommunication and Laboratory Information Management System)consists of two internally developed web applications and a range of additional services (including reporting, data and business intelligence) which support our internal customers - the Eurofins laboratories worldwide - in their day-to-day activities related to sales and production processes of the analytical services offered to Eurofins customers. It is at the heart of the Eurofins strategy enabling efficient cross-selling between laboratories. Components of the Program and its data are used by a wide range of Eurofins applications making it a key Program within the international Eurofins Group.
