Role purpose:Support an array of sales activities to existing customer accounts and expand the client base, in order to achieve sustainable revenue growth. Work with Operations and Service Delivery Support teams to retain current client base, sustain current relationships and improve share of wallet/profitability of existing client portfolio. Provides high level sales support against defined procedures, with autonomy over workload to meet business needs. Undertakes a wide range of complex administrative activities and resolves complex queries and may include delegation and monitoring of others’ work.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of profitable and sustainable sales growth at assigned or new accounts, projects and/or segments in order to achieve/exceed agreed sales targets.
Support implementation of sales strategies to both new and existing customers to meet business objectives and build a strong and trusted relationship with agreed portfolio of clients and segments in alignment with business strategy.
Maintain thorough understanding of customers’ businesses, end user markets, and key competitors and share this understanding with the wider sales, marketing and customer service team/s. Collect feedback from customers and work with internal teams to resolve customer concerns; identify trends and make recommendations for the future.
Follow up leads received from technical delivery/customer service teams and work with customers/relevant internal stakeholders to define scope of work and see through to execution. Support re-tendering activity ensuring it is run professionally and accurately.
Liaise with technical delivery teams to ensure their involvement in defining resource capacity/capability and proposal/bid preparation.
Identify and support improvements to processes and procedures within the team and conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
Report on all customer meetings and visits, including relevant competitor activity as well as entering all leads/opportunities in Salesforce. Disseminate this information to line manager/ team. Contribute to appropriate sales review meetings.
Lead the organisation of external events such as seminars/ technical forums from a logistics perspective (accommodation, travel) etc.
Act as interface between external clients (new and existing), customer service, technical delivery teams to ensure we are delivering a proactive, professional and efficient support service to all clients so we can continue to differentiate from the competition and maintain our position in the marketplace.
Maintain close contact with key customers and monitor their performance so that we can identify opportunities to grow and develop the business. Understand and investigate needs and challenges of selected portfolio of clients and/or segments and provide feedback for development of sales and business strategy
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:
Degree or equivalent professional Sales, Marketing or Administration qualification.
3-5 years relevant work experience within a commercial environment
Good verbal and written communication skills in English (and local language, as applicable), with a good understanding of business language
Awareness of LR strategies, products and processes an advantage
Computer literate in MS Office.
Able to use own initiative to prioritise and work on multiple tasks and complex issues whilst adhering to tight deadlines.
Experience of working in a business to business client service environment, preferably dealing with business clients in a sales environment.
