Introduction to Radiomics:

Founded in 2016, Radiomics is a next-generation Liege-based imaging CRO built upon the unparallel experience of its founders, pioneers of the radiomics science. Radiomics uses its proprietary advanced image analysis technology based on AI, deep learning and federated learning to unravel the gold mine of hidden data information embedded in standard medical images with the aim to support insight-based decision making for optimizing pharmaceutical and biotech companies’ clinical trials and drug development studies and for providing clinicians with a patient-centered approach based on personalized medicine.

Based on its non-invasive approach, Radiomics has developed and validated a full pipeline of software as medical device, aimed at disease detection, patient follow-up and treatment prediction. Radiomics first product platform, RadiomiX Toolbox, allows to mine quantitative image features from (standard-of-care) medical imaging. Among other ongoing projects, in 2021 Radiomics will start its first clinical trial, SALMON, aiming at proving the power of radiomics for clinical decision making on oncology compared to current standard-of-care. In addition, Radiomics owns a strong intellectual property portfolio, including rights on the radiomics trademark, and its team is continuously working on new solutions, in collaboration with multiple national and international partners and is currently closing partnerships to scale up its activities geographically and into other disease areas. Radiomics is ISO 13485 compliant and aims to be ISO 13485: 2016 certified in 2021.

We are currently looking to enlarge our team with a Junior Legal Officer.

Role summary:

The Junior Legal Officer is responsible for monitoring all legal affairs within the organization. S/he handles both internal and external legal concerns and her/his duties are to monitor the

organization legal affairs, ensuring that they remain in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Her/his role is to provide the executive team with legal advice and recommendations which must be compliant with the law and must also strive to minimize risk for the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and support contractual reviews of different legal documents and from different sources (such as suppliers, HR, collaborations, grants, etc.)
• Make recommendations, warn of potential liabilities and possible courses of action
• Provide legal advice to the team by translating the legal jargon into language that the team can understand
• Stay up to date with all current relevant laws
• Monitor and ensure the Company’s compliance with data protection law
• Protect and monitor the legal interest of the Company
• Help in the drafting of grants, consortium agreement

Your educational background & specific knowledge:

• Bachelor and/or Master in European law, International law or Belgian law.
• Specialisation in business and/or commercial law is a plus
• Knowledge of European and International law
• Knowledge of Belgian social and company law
• Knowledge of data protection law
• Knowledge of Intellectual Property law
• Good understanding of contract law and its practices
• Experience with drafting and editing legal documents
• Prior professional experience is a plus but not a pre-requisite

Language skills:

• Fluent in English & French
• Excellent written and oral skills in both languages
