Within the Commercial team Professional Belux we are currently looking to hire a:
Key Account Manager Industry
Your key responsibilities and challenges are:
- You manage sales to specific accounts in the Belux Food Industry segment, through technical and commercial expertise.
- Furthermore, you contribute to the execution of the strategy of the 2 business lines and take the responsibility for the implementation in the segment.
- You are responsible for the successful achievement of country segment results as originator, advisor, and member of the commercial team by sales volume, profitability and cost consciousness. This is done by analyzing sales figures, setting sales prices, and controlling costs.
- You are also responsible for the successful management of the commercial relationship with the clients and maintaining existing profitable volumes whilst maximizing opportunities to grow new business.
- You build strong relationships with clients by use of personal technical expertise and R&D resources, test bakery, pastry schools, analytical techniques, internal and external technical courses thereby safeguarding the company’s offering and profitability.
- On a continuous basis you are in search of new market opportunities and developments by active prospection.
- You ensure follow-up customer specific NPD flows, logistics, production, stocks etc. by internal networking (R & D, production, transport, planning, …) in order to guarantee excellent service levels.
- You take into consideration a continued assessment and thereby ‘compliance’ with food regulations, trends, and local market conditions.
- You report to the Sales Manager Industry.
About you
- You hold a master’s degree in Bio-Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Economics, Industrial engineering, etc.
- You have min. 2 to 3 years of successful commercial experience within the food industry. Sales experience within a technical environment or a previous experience within R&D is a strong asset.
- Technical knowledge of food ingredients is a strong plus.
- You have a well-developed analytical (ie strong in figures, margins, calculation,…), conceptual and synthetic mindset. At the same time, you are pragmatic, a problem solver and looking for initiative.
- You have strong negotiation skills, and you can create trustful relations.
- Above all you are ambitious, energetic, driven, and open to receive and give challenges.
- You are a team-player with an open-minded mentality.
- You are well-structured and have strong organizational skills.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, in English, Dutch and French.
