General informationAll posting locations Berchem, , BelgiumJob Function 01 - SalesDate Published 22-Jun-2023Ref # R-71128Remote, Hybrid or Onsite HybridDescription & RequirementsAbout the positionWe are looking for an experienced and driven Key Account Manager who will take care of the year deal negotiations for the Delhaize account as part of parental cover. The position is part of the Benelux Business Unit- focused on managing key customer accounts in Belgium and reports into the Sales Director Belgium. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal partners!
In brief- you are responsible for
- Manage relationships and grow sales- starting from a clear understanding of the customer strategy- their shopper and competitive environment.
- Deliver excellent sales fundamentals performance.
- Develop the Annual Operating Plan (annual agreements- pricing- new products & innovation listings- and campaign developments)- implement- track- and evaluate it.
- Grow the business for your own customer/category combination- deliver committed sales- profit growth- & share.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and answer the appropriate business solutions
- Suggest appropriate products and services according to customer needs.
- Respond to more complex customer enquiries.
- Find opportunities through your analytical skills e.g. Nielsen/IRI of GFK.
- Refer sales opportunities and customer feedback- to internal organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
- Develop long-term sales plans for key customers and accounts and monitor and adapt sales activities so that these objectives are met.
- Establish annual- quarterly- monthly- or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
Must haves
Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.
- Strong capabilities and proven experience in independently owning the year deal negos for one of the top3 retailers in Belgium- at an international environment within the Food & Beverage sector.
- We are specifically looking for a plug-and-play talent who can make an impact from day 1.
- Excellent proficiency in Dutch and English. French language skills are highly preferred
- Consistent track record of problem solving as an owner- taking on entrepreneurial challenges and simplifying the complex
- Ownership mentality- push to learn through new challenges and capability to get results and lead independently of age/role
- Available per 15 September 2023 for a period of 6 months
- Fixed term 6-month contract as part of maternity cover
- Start date 15 September 2023
