We are looking for a Lab Technician in order to reinforce our Testing Nanofluidic Processor (nFP) team.


Midiagnostics is developing technology that can miniaturize all the sample processing capabilities performed in clinical laboratories and turn it into a disposable, point-of-care form without compromising on performance.


As our Lab Technician you will be part of our Research team and work, together with Lab Tech and Scientist colleagues, on a revolutionary and unique approach.

You will support a team that generate the necessary data and knowledge to make the transition from test prototypes to market ready products:

  • Plan and execute studies for the development, evolution and optimization of prototypes and product(s) within well-defined boundary conditions and timelines
  • Focusing on microfluidic testing of prototypes and components for the advancement of microfluidic design and processes
  • Execute studies, analyse data, summarize/present results and writes study reports independently
  • Write technical reports, equipment guidelines and other relevant documentation (e.g. SOP’s)
  • Follow policies and industrial guidelines for medical devices (ISO 13485, GLP,..)
  • Find solutions to problems in a creative and scientifically sound way
  • You have a Bachelor / Master degree or equivalent by experience in a life science related field: biomedical sciences, chemistry, physics, material science or other equivalent discipline
  • Proficiency in experimental analysis, data processing and data visualisation is required
  • Some industrial experience in R&D in IVD, biotechnology or medical devices is an asset
  • Experience in microfluidics is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of microfluidic design and manufacturing processes for microfluidic devices is a strong plus.
  • Experience in medical point-of-care diagnostics device development is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following or similar tools used for data processing and analysis: R, Matlab, Python, Minitab, JMP
  • Hands-on and resourceful problem solver is a must
  • Attention to detail, works in a structured and methodological way
  • Team-player
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Good level of English
  • Eager to learn novel concepts and technologies
  • You appreciate working in an open space amongst enthusiastic, multidisciplinary and international colleagues
  • You’re entitled to work and live in Belgium
