Exciting Job Opportunity in Belgium

LMWis seeking a Lead Engineer on behalf of a leading civil engineering company to join their diverse and dynamic team in Belgium.

As a Lead Engineer you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of offshore projects. You will collaborate with employees of different nationalities and disciplines and you will be located at HQ in Belgium. We are looking for a Lead Engineer who can manage (large) offshore (cable) installation projects, having both a strong engineering but also installation background.

Responsibilities

  • Being responsible for the engineering, preparation and execution of our projects
  • Developing method statements for our works before we go execute them offshore
  • Reviewing and checking work from the engineering department
  • Reviewing detailed engineering reports, procedures, manuals and method statements
  • Developing work-packs for the preparatory phase of the project
  • When on site, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice and taking the Lead when necessary
  • Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management
  • Ensuring planning, reporting, budget control and cost monitoring
Requirements

  • Bachelor / Master degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering
  • 5+ years of previous working experience as a Lead Engineer.
  • Experience in offshore installation projects
  • Willingness to work abroad on projects and in the office
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Willingness to relocate in Belgium
