We are looking for a Learning and Knowledge Manager for the Operational Excellence Department.

Knowledge management is the company’s ability to benefit from the experience and expertise of it’s people. It’s a way for companies to retain the information,document it and transfer it to somebody else. Knowledge Management is the use of a family of tools, methods and modes of organization to facilitate the conservation and especially the sharing of knowledge distributed in the company.

Learning is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and cultural values through observation, imitation, trial, repetition, and presentation. It completes the training, the purpose of which is above all the acquisition of knowledge or knowledge by means of studies, exercises and knowledge checks.

Nature & Scope:

To manage various Learning and Organizational Development projects and programs in a fast-paced multinational organization.

To be responsible for the flawless execution of leadership programs and complex learning projects.

To manage project planning, prioritization, tracking and monitoring, reporting of risks, issue management, and budget management across various projects.

To Ensure that trainings are effectively and efficiently deployed and managed for the Strasbourg – Braine Business Unit so that high quality level learning practices are in place & in use and affect positively the business performance.

To ensure training requirements are met in order to achieve a high level of individual performance with respect to technical (i.e. process, regulatory, quality, EHS understanding), and soft skills.

Leadership : To support the Strasbourg / Braine leadership team, contribute to the Business Unit vision and mission, drive execution across functions and steers projects based on Business Learning / Knowledge management needs and Enterprise – wide programs.

Knowledge Management :To ensure knowledge management processes and systems are in place, in use, and maintained at the appropriate level to ensure business continuity.

  • To ensure knowledge management processes and systems are in compliance with cGMP standards, Heath Authorities expectations, as well as PolyPeptide standards.
  • To make sure that the right knowledge goes to the right people, and that this information is promptly applied to business activities

Learning : To develop, own and maintain department specific training material, applying best Fit-for-Purpose Learning Methodologies to all learning solutions. To identify and pro-actively escalate to management the resources needed to deploy and deliver technical training.

  • To lead actively a BU Training and Learning community (made up with trainer and doc writers roles from different BU departments) with the intent to further align and improve the overall learning / training / document writing skills within PolyPeptide.

Change and continuous improvement:To make sure training, knowledge, and process or system gaps are managed end to end with continuous improvement in mind; issue/risk related to Training or KM readily identified, corrective/preventive actions established, implemented.

  • To assure uniformity/best practice implementation of Training and Knowledge management processes and systems across Strasbourg / Braine Business Unit whenever applicable.
  • To drive Braine and Strasbourg PolyPeptide sites towards being a learning organization that enables people to deliver exceptional and sustainable performance.
  • To improve process / product knowledge within PolyPeptide sites leading / supporting relevant task forces in collaboration with Development teams.

People & Organization :

  • To lead, select, train, evaluate, coach and motivate all BU teams towards the excellence in carrying out all operational activities within the BU (right first time) and the attainment of Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • To ensure optimal staffing levels and competencies are in place and ensures the retention, engagement and development of talents within the organization.

To encourage a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative work flow among departments and project teams

Profile:

  • Master’s degree - science background is recommended.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry with thorough understanding of chemical processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills with demonstrated engaging, empowering and decisive leadership style.
  • Well developed relation building skills to gain trust and credibility in order to to build a great place to work and good social climate within cross functional (project) teams.
  • Experience in Training (mandatory).
  • Knowledge in cGxP requirements
  • Customer orientation
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Creative approach to develop new efficient Learning and Knowledge Management supports / systems linked with Business needs.
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills including training / animation / presentation skills.
  • Effective influencing skills – ability to influence at all levels of management and to energize a team towards common goals.
  • Excellent team builder / team player
  • Operational Excellence (Lean Six Sigma certification) and/or Project Management Certification is an asset.
  • Sense of urgency, flexibility and accountability.
  • Enterprise thinking (end-to-end supply orientation, cross functional team spirit, sharing of good practices within the network).
  • Proven Planning & Organizational skills.
  • Strong quality and results oriented mindset.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity while balancing multiple priorities and responsibilities.
  • Ability to lead and drive change : ability to create a compelling case for change
  • Fluent in English and French
