As a financial institution, the client attaches great importance to security, which is why this is a responsibility that is shared by every employee. Our IT Systems Engineers, who build and maintain the ICT systems, are particularly concerned about the security and robustness of systems and applications. Specialised IT services develop and support the electronic workplace. This consists of modern workstations equipped with state-of-the-art collaboration tools, personal productivity tools and banking applications developed in-house. Within this context, we are looking for a passionate Systems Engineer to help further develop our Apple MacBook workstation, which is used for internal software development. More specifically, the aim is for you, as a Systems Engineer, to take on the specialist role of ’Security Champion’. This means that you will not only be involved in the design, build and maintenance of the Developer’s MacBook, but will also specifically focus on all technical security challenges and the aspects of collaboration with the SOC (Security Operations Centre) and the Business and IT Information Security Officers

What do we expect from you?

• Your main goal is to strengthen the management and security of our MacBook Endpoints. In doing so, you strive for a MacBook Developer Endpoint that, in terms of security and manageability, is on an equal (uniform) level with our standard Windows workstations.

• You will use your MacBook and security expertise

• in consultation with SOC

• to design and implement a better (uniform) integration with the SOC tooling.

• You will participate in a project to bring the development processes in line with the client’s risk appetite.

• In addition to major project-based changes, you are responsible, together with the other team members of the Agile Scrum team, for minor changes and the daily management of our MacBook environment.

• You will help to find the root cause of security issues. For this you will dive into the logfiles of servers and systems.

• You will think along with security architects and security analysts about how we can continue to improve security. You will improve existing processes, prevent problems, and avoid risks.

What are your strengths?

• You have a solid dose of MacBook platform expertise, in terms of operating system and security. You know enough about IT to share knowledge with the system administrators in almost all IT domains. You have a broad view on IT operating systems & middleware and networks.

• Relevant experience in one of these areas is more than an added advantage:

• security tools for detection and analysis

• incident response procedures

• Network security, firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems

• Security monitoring, Endpoint Data Protection

• You have a nose for IT cybersecurity risks and trends. You know how to recognize them and how to prevent them. You have general knowledge of cyber-attack techniques and data leakage mechanisms.

• You communicate fluently (NL/EN) and adapt your language use to your conversation partners.

• Thanks to your logical and analytical mind, you can easily fathom security problems, analyse events, and improve.

• You are a team player and believe in our motto ’Security is everybody’s job’.
