Role Overview
Purpose of the role
  • Organizes and plans the complete maintenance of production, lab, building and facilities in order to assure the continuity of the production process.
  • Responsible for organization and execution of all production and maintenance related projects.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and purchasing of all maintenance and project related materials.
  • Act as Energy Manager. All in accordance with The Solvay Way, Quality & safety Policy Kallo, Life Saving Rules, IATF quality system, ISO14001 environmental system, ISO50001 Energy Management and ISO45001 in the most efficient way.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Manages a team of 3 maintenance technicians
  • Ensures that all maintenance and contractor personnel works according all valid safety, health, environmental, security and company policies.
  • Ensures timely corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Organizes training where needed for maintenance, production and lab personnel.
  • Reporting & Filing weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • Monitors that all technical documentation is up to date.
  • Initiates or advices site manager in purchasing new equipment, evaluates technical aspects and advices for new capital investments.
  • Performs internal audit concerning ISO/TS16949, SCMS and The Solvay Way.
  • Performs thorough housekeeping of the plant / maintenance department

Operating context
  • Internal contacts : Works closely with Production, Lab, EHS, Sub-contractors. Contacts with peers in other plants. Participation is required at all times in the production meetings, meetings for continuous improvement of processes, MOC’s and project meetings
  • External contacts : Vendors
  • Supervises the maintenance team at the SSPB Plant in Kallo. This is a compounding plant that operates two compounding lines.
  • Takes decisions in solving maintenance problems or making modifications, technical execution of projects and spare parts projects.

Education/Experience
  • Technical Bachelor Degree or equal by experience
  • Minimal 5 -8 years experience in a similar technical role with responsibility

Skills
  • Technical skills : Computer: SAP and MS Offices packages
  • Languages: Dutch, English and French is a plus
  • Customer oriented and pro-active
  • Flexible, Team player
  • Problem solving mentality
