Will you join our team as a Service Engineer? With this position you get a varied job in the wonderful world of shipping. The variety is reflected in the tasks you will perform and no two days will be the same.Our company is working from 5 locations worldwide and still expanding. Active in the business of maritime safety inspections and services we provide safety to sea-going vessels and platforms.Your Responsibilities
  • Inspection, service, maintenance and repairs of maritime safety equipment like life boats, fire extinguishers and life jackets
  • Working on board sea-going vessels in Belgium and abroad.
  • Working in the workshop
These jobs are performed in port so no sailing with the ships is required.Your Profile
  • Fluent in English is a must as we work in an international environment
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics and / or hydraulics and / or metal working and / or welding, ...
  • Responsible person
  • Not afraid to work independently while still maintaining a good contact with the manager(s)
  • Flexible towards working weekends, travelling abroad and non-standard working hours (although this is normally VERY limited)
  • Polite and respectful
  • No 9-to-5 mentality
  • Valid driver license "B"
  • Speaking / writing Dutch is not a requirement
