The role of the Marketing Specialist is to develop the global marketing strategy for the Hydraulics Product family within Donaldson’s Mobile Solutions business vertical, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to craft comprehensive plans that align with vertical objectives and target audience. In partnership with the Global Product Director, the role will determine the marketing channel strategy and collaborate with the Digital Marketing Specialist to plan marketing campaigns to generate compelling and high-quality content for targeted accounts. The candidate will also extend to assisting in the planning and coordination of regional marketing activities for other product families.

The position has a global scope, reports remotely to Global Marketing Director in Mexico and is based in our EMEA HQ in Leuven (Belgium), with the possibility to work 3 days a week from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy in conjunction with global stakeholders.
  • Develop the an annual marketing plan and budget to support strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and manage campaigns and promotional activities with regional execution teams and ensure all elements are executed on time.
  • Align with Product Development and Engineering teams to develop marketing plans and resources for the launch of new products.
  • Manage the development of marketing support material for sales representatives.
  • Develop social media plans in collaboration with the Global Digital Marketing Specialist and coordinate on execution.
  • Work with the team on trade shows, exhibition and conference opportunities as required, including the development of online events and materials such webinars and interactive content.
  • Analyze the reports on the performance of marketing campaigns and propose improvements.
  • Manage the development and production of marketing collateral including literature, product profiles, product bulletins, sales presentations, online resources and advertising materials, partnering with the Global Content Specialist to support the sales Plan.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years min. of proven experience in similar marketing roles.
  • Experience working for a Multinational B2B organization

Technical Competence & Skills

  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with colleagues up, down and across the Donaldson organization.
  • Ability to manage the competing priorities of different stakeholders and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to develop and deliver presentations competently.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Well organized, self-driven with excellent attention to detail, and with good time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with video, multimedia and digital content creation systems is preferable
  • Fluent English communication. (written and spoken)
  • Creative thinking and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to marketing strategies.

  • Remote Reporting: experience in reporting to supervisors or team leads located in different countries.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing digital communication tools to maintain regular and effective reporting structures, ensuring transparency, and facilitating seamless collaboration across international borders.
