Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team. You will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and support of secure network solutions, with a focus on Palo Alto and Cisco technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, etc.)

• Maintain and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco network devices (switches, routers, etc.)

• Monitor network performance and respond to security incidents

• Collaborate with the IT security and infrastructure teams to implement NIS2 and compliance frameworks

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support on network/security issues

• Participate in security assessments, audits, and vulnerability remediation

• Document network configurations, processes, and policies

Requirements

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in network security engineering

• Strong expertise with Palo Alto (PAN-OS) and Cisco technologies

• Hands-on experience with firewall configuration, VPN setup, network segmentation

• Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, NIS2, etc.)

• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written); English is a plus

• Certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP Security, or CCNA Security are a strong advantage

Nice to Have

• Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)

• Experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure)

• Knowledge of SIEM tools and log analysis
