As part of the management team you are able to influence the business directly and are expected to give input which will help improve the local organisation, while always keeping in mind the impact on the total supply chain.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated people manager, passionate about logistics to join our Operations team in DC Winterslag for the position of Operations Support Manager. You will lead and coach your team to enable the unit to deliver goods within the agreed time and quality to the lowest possible operation costs with the customer in focus and the total supply chain in mind.
Next to that you will be:

  • Responsible to increase efficiency of the DC/CDC operations to reduce cost, improve productivity and work spirit with total supply chain in focus.
  • Support and involved in global & local projects to find efficient and innovative ways to optimize the DC/CDC logistic process to improve operational efficiency.
  • Customer focus to secure goods delivery within 100% lead time fulfilment with higher filling rate to meet goods availability in alignment with Global service protocol.
  • Responsible to develop the logistical competence in the DC/CDC to implement and follow IKEA’s Warehousing Concept for the own team.
  • Provide information about plans and results to co-workers and explain their overall importance
  • Communicate and cooperate with all relevant stakeholders, i.e. IWL, WMS Responsible, Transport/Planning cell etc.
  • Support and execute the ideals of "The Human Resource Idea" with regard to recruitment, training, development and leadership
