Job Description

The Logistics Specialist supports the logistics organization through the development and execution of strategic initiatives and tactical support; to function as a liaison between outside strategic partners and VF Corporation; and providing services in the following areas:
  • Strategic development and execution support;
  • Outbound logistics operations and execution; and
  • Establish and enforce daily and ongoing control-related standards and procedures

  • Maintain routing table – CRD approvals with focus on only the outbound logistics part;
  • KPI development tracking and improvement focus follow up;
  • Follow up carrier performance for all brands by attending monthly and or weekly carrier meetings or through the KPI reports/Tableau;
  • Set up carrier meetings to discuss the SOP’s / KPI reports when and if applicable;
  • Attending OPS brand x-functional calls;
  • Capacity planning (short and mid-term):
  • Develop together with the Fulfillment CoE team members a set of standard reports to be used for DC and carrier forecasting;
  • Co-ordinate with brands/DCs to drive greater accountability for forecast accuracy, linked to the fact that inaccuracy will create additional cost;
  • Coordinate with all VF business partners on continuous process improvements and the implementations of Logistics related projects:
  • Represent Outbound Logistics in E2E projects;
  • Support with Logistics projects B2B/B2C (carrier switches, new process implementations etc.)
  • Cost to serve focus:
  • Follow up / drive Outbound LOG actions against the efficiency and cost to serve reduction initiatives;
  • Partner with all stakeholders to identify further areas of inefficiency and potential cost to serve improvement areas;
  • Support indirect procurement initiatives;
  • Ensure the department operates in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, which includes Fulfilment internal audit – compliance monitoring, individual performance metrics and process adherence.
