PhD Opportunity: Mechanisms of Organ-Specific Metastasis in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

The Metastasis Research Laboratory at the GIGA Institute, University of Liège (ULiège), Belgium, is inviting applications for a fully funded PhD position focused on investigating the mechanisms of organ-specific metastasis in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). This position is supported by the Télévie program and offers a flexible start date between October 2025 and January 2026. The vacancy is advertised on LinkedIn by Professor Gilles Rademaker.

Project Overview

The successful candidate will utilize advanced methodologies including:

– In vivo cancer models

– Imaging and functional genomics

– Tumor microenvironment analysis

– Transcriptomics

Supervision will be provided by Prof. Olivier Peulen and Dr. Gilles Rademaker.

Candidate Requirements

– Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field

– Strong interest in cancer biology and metastasis

– Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

– Prior experience with cell culture, molecular biology techniques, or animal models is advantageous
