Seeking a multifaceted and motivated student for a period of 12 months to join the Simulation and Test Marketing Team as a Process Improvement and Data Analytics Intern. We want your help in designing and automating processes to synthesize data from multiple sources into dashboards and use them to track project status and performance metrics as well as identify opportunities for improvement. In this role you will work closely with the Marketing team as well as with others in Strategy, Product Management and Business Development. If you an aptitude for automating processes and solving analytical problems to deliver data-driven insights, this will be a great role for you.

Key Responsibilities and essential functions:

  • Collect performance data related to Marketing campaigns, website, social media, and internal communications from a wide range of sources and platforms
  • Write code to improve data pipelines and automate processes to minimize manual work required to populate databases
  • Collaborate within Marketing to identify relevant KPIs for each project and translate them into useful metrics
  • Build automated data visualization and real-time dashboards that are appealing and simple to navigate to track project status and performance metrics
  • Derive insights, expose opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions to drive performance
  • Communicate findings and insights to Marketing decision makers and other internal stakeholders
  • Write reports to summarize findings, document processes, and deliver training

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Enrolled in a 4-year college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Must be at least a junior at the start of the internship
  • Data science and programming coursework experience
  • Experience with Sharepoint and Microsoft 365 apps
  • Proficiency and understanding of analytical tools (for example: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Good analytical thinker who can work with multiple data sources and transform them into a succinct story
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational, planning and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Rising senior or graduate student preferred
  • Previous working experience in data analytics and dashboard creation
