Job Description

Job Title: Technology Product Support Specialist

Contract: Permanent

Location: European Facility

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours)

Caterpillar is hiring a Technology Product Support Specialist ! In this role, you will provide technical support for the Cat Advanced Construction Technology portfolio, supporting the Cat Dealers in EAME. This is a travel heavy role (over 50% of the time) that will work from a Cat European location or a home office.

Job Duties
  • Provide technical support for assigned products, starting with Cat Productivity, supporting the Cat Dealers in EAME
  • Provide timely technical product and market information to the Product Groups
  • Engage in the NPI process and participate on the overall Market team’s strategy
  • Maintain strong communication with Product groups, providing feedback and customer requirements for assigned products
  • Assist with the implementation of the technologies with key dealers and customers
  • Support application and job studies for various markets
  • Consult with dealer on tactical dealer issues. Analyse and consult on customer and field product application, configuration, utilization, and requirements to provide the best current and future solution for a customer
  • Train the District, GCI and Dealer Representatives on product and application matters. Training embraces product, services, application and relevant systems or software
  • Prepare introduction plans for new products. Plan thoroughly for the introduction of new products (NPI); Monitor progress on all field support elements of NPI including Field Follows, and initiate corrective action when necessary; Develop and maintain NPI related communication database
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of professional experience
  • Extensive years’ experience as a Product Specialist or experience related to Product Specialist job requirements
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%) frequently to customer and dealer locations
Desired Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of company products, product and applications or merchandising programs
  • An understanding of mechanized claims processing, service data systems and/or dealer operations and a basic understanding of business information systems
  • Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to listen to others are important to the job
This position is ideally located in a Caterpillar European facility/office . However, remote work is possible within the US. Relocation assistance is not provided. ISE assignment is not available.
