Purpose of the job:

• Develop and deliver the Railway Electronic Product in line with the Product Roadmap and as agreed with the Program Manager
• Play the key role between Engineering Design team and Design Authority / Solution Director in the definition of technical answer to the needs expressed

Key Accountabilities

ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES

• With the Design Authority and the Product Program Manager, define and agree on the Product development roadmap that he/she commits to deliver
• With the Product Program Manager, manage the Product Development team for both internal (Products Engineering) and external (buy) developments, ensuring respect of QCD commitments
• Ensure technical coordination within program engineering team, arbitrate design choice (with Design Authority for the main ones)
• Specify the Product characteristics and ensure that the Product delivers the performance levels expected as defined in the Product roadmap and meet Systems and Platforms expectations
• Organize and lead Product Design Reviews
• Support Make or Buy analysis and arbitration
• Develop design-to-cost approach in developments to decrease unit cost of solutions
• Manage Product Requirements: ensure the traceability of the product requirements (from product level down to software and hardware level) and ensure that each product requirement has been addressed by V&V through the whole development cycle
• Manage Product Configuration, Change Management and deliveries: establish and maintain the configuration baselines, perform configuration reviews, lead the Change Control Board (CCB) with the Product Program Manager
• With the Product Program Manager, provide QCD estimation on Bids and user projects requests and support System Application Architects in gap analysis/QCD quotation

Educational Requirements

EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Mandatory:

• Graduated from Electronic or Computer Engineering school, PhD / BAC+5
  
  

Experience

Mandatory:

• 5 years in electronic development (System, Hw, Sw, V&V, RAM) in similar products environments
• 2 years in Work Package management, Planning management
  
  

Desirable:

• Safety environment (if needed)
• Sub-contractor management (if COS product)

• Electronic engineering (Product Design/Architecture, Hw, Sw, V&V, RAM, Safety) (level depending of Product’s type)
