Job Description

Ambitious professional with a good knowledge of finance and strong negotiation skills

You conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors in laboratory equipment and materials, taking into account emerging trends and business opportunities.
You source materials, goods, products, and services and negotiate the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
You manage an asset database, attend product launches and network with R&D professionals.
You will be part of the Global R&D Community of purchasing (COP’s) and guide its members.
You’re back up of Head of Capex & Purchasing on Capex reporting (PPM tool reporting) in close collaboration with the Arcelor Mittal Corporate Capex team.
You work in close collaboration with Segment procurement organisations, Corporate Purchasing and Arcelor Mittal Capital goods (purchasing).
In this role you report directly to the Head of Capex & Purchasing for the division R&D.

Profile

You have a bachelor or master degree in Business, Logistics, Marketing or a related field and you combine this with a first experience in a similar position. A good knowledge of the steelmaking industry is a plus.
Your written and verbal communication- and negotiation skills help you to quickly build a relationship of trust with the customer.
You have excellent networking, time management, organizational and planning skills.
Your abilty to work independently is important for the performance of your job.
Experience in accountancy is a big plus.
Knowing your way around relevant software programs (SAP, MS Office, Digipace, etc) is an advantage.
You are able to report and communicate fluently in English (Dutch, French and/or Spanish is a plus).
