A company active in the information, technology and services sector is currently looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their offices in the Walloon Brabant. Thanks to your experience in accounting, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will be in charge of the daily accounting.

Your main responsibilities as the new Senior Accountant will include:

  • Ensure the right encoding of invoices to the right accounts
  • Provide VAT declarations as well as MOSS declarations, etc.
  • Gather account information and analyse them
  • Produce the annual accounts for Belgium and make it public
  • Operate month-, quarter- and year-end closings
  • Produce balance sheet and profit & loss statements
  • Provide the necessary local tax declarations
  • Audit financial transactions
  • Keep up with the current financial policies
  • Mentor junior accountants and share your knowledges

Your profile:

  • You have a degree in accounting or equivalent
  • You have 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • You are fluent in Dutch and in English, French is an asset

Your strengths:

  • Thanks to your expertise in BE GAAP and in local fiscal legislation, you feel able to take tackle the daily accounting.
  • You are a team player with excellent communication skills, you are a critical thinker and autonomous
  • Through your previous experience you have built a knowledge of IFRS
