My client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect with Collibra experience.

Project Description

As part of a data governance program, 2 projects have been defined to concretize data governance and increase the maturity of a number of data management capabilities. These 2 projects rely on each other and will therefore be managed together and in a similar manner.

The first project focuses on the data governance foundations and aims to roll out data governance together with and under the leadership of the data office. This rollout will be phased based on prioritized use cases.

This rollout will use an existing operating model and a number of basic principles:

• a set of data roles related to responsibilities and ownership
• a data operating model and the associated processes and consultation bodies
• a basic approach and principles around
• data quality
• reference and master data management
• data classification (including for legal compliance and retention)
• data provisioning and reporting
  
  

The primary goal of the second project is to set up Collibra as a data catalog to provide insight into what data the customer has, where this data is located and how it may be used. The management of (the metadata of) this data in Collibra will be the basis of more mature data management and is also a facilitator of the data governance rollout.

This project will also proceed in phases based on prioritized use cases and in close collaboration with the data office. A first version of a Collibra instance for the customer was developed last year during a pilot project, which laid a foundation for managing the business glossary in Collibra, ingesting the most important data sources, mapping the data lineage, linking the physical metadata to logical and conceptual data models and concretizing a number of data management processes in Collibra workflows.

The Collibra project will further expand this first version and make it usable for business and IT stakeholders.

For the Collibra project, our customer is looking for a Collibra senior solution architect to implement the rollout of Collibra - with the support of already available resources in the data office.

Job Description

Translating a concrete question from the Business into changes that are needed in the application landscape

Responsible for the "fit for purpose" of the solution and the alignment with the framework created by the Enterprise Architects

Works closely with the Technical and functional application architect, data architect and infrastructure architect

Relying on the Application Architects for concrete detailed knowledge of the functional and technical aspects of the applications involved and the development of changes to them

Participate in drawing up the Way of Working guidelines around Solution & Application Architecture (across different projects, for specific projects)

Monitoring these guidelines within the projects

Contributes to the technical architecture standards and guidelines, driven by business requirements and needs

Competences

Experience with transitions to secure, cloud-native software delivery life cycle based on containerization and container orchestration

Experience with setting up an SDLC and supporting reference architecture for containerization, experience with impact analysis on existing SDLC and with this knowledge incrementally adapt the existing SDLC so that it is aligned with the new direction and Legacy application development can still be used

Experience with change management to lead a project to success

Experience in drawing up and participating in market surveys

Experience working with cross midsize teams

Experience with DevOps

Strong interpersonal competencies

Collaborate with other stakeholders within I&T (development, data warehousing, operations) to capture and include their requirements and concerns

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in Dutch

Experience in establishing processes and standards for service specifications

Extensive knowledge and experience in application, integration and service-oriented architecture

Extensive knowledge and experience in software development methodology

Extensive knowledge and experience in application life cycle management

Extensive knowledge and experience in IT governance

A broad technical background in enterprise development

Experience with Integration Architecture

Ability to persuade and negotiate

Experience with various IT delivery methods (Watefall, Agile)

Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture

Experience in using Enterprise Architect from Sparx Systems

Location:

Hybrid role with 2 days per week onsite in Brussels Belgium required and 3 days per week remote is possible, please note candidates must speak fluent Dutch and it would be ideal if you are already based in Belgium.
