Senior Financial Planning Analyst Tax & Accounting Europe
We are looking for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our Tax & Accounting Europe division within Wolters Kluwer. The role:
As our Senior Financial Planning Analyst within the Tax & Accounting division you will be part of the European team, reporting to the controlling manager. The European Tax & Accounting Team is based in Mechelen. The focus of this position is to analyze and report financial and business KPI’s to support the TAA European management.
You will be in close contact with the controllers of the individual countries and will be able to obtain a broad view and understanding of the Europe businesses. This understanding is crucial to analyze data and to complete the different reporting requirements from the division.
In this position you will ensure complete, timely and consistent reporting to management and the division. Furthermore, you will support the controlling manager in ad-hoc analyses and will pro-actively help optimizing the reporting in order to assist management in realizing their objectives.
The monthly closing and consolidation process is performed within Tagetik. Tagetik is a planning and consolidation system which has recently been implemented throughout Wolters Kluwer. As the Financial Planning Analyst, you play a crucial role in following-up the monthly closing and you the linking pin between corporate, division and the local teams as a Tagetik Champion.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyzing various information streams of the different TAA EU countries;
- Providing support to the controlling manager in the budget- and forecasting processes;
- Helping with the monthly closing process in Tagetik Care and providing support to the countries;
- Tagetik CARE champion who acts as a linking pin between corporate and local teams;
- Close collaboration with local finance teams;
- Help consolidating and reporting the various business KPI’s (turnovers, margins, portfolio evolutions, churn, sales intake, costs, etc.);
- Responsible for monthly reporting to division;
- Overseeing the local management entity from a cost perspective;
Your profile:
You have a solid financial basis, strong analytical skills and have had a first experience in controlling or audit. You are eager to learn and motivated to obtain in-depth knowledge of the Tagetik consolidation system to support the countries and management. You will be an active member of the Tax & Accounting Europe Finance Community, excellent communication skills and cultural awareness go without saying.
- A master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent by experience is requested.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position is required. A single experience within a Big 4 will be considered as well. The candidate has strong analytical skills and a good business mindset. Passion about realizing reports and improvements is essential.
- A good general knowledge is necessary, especially in Excel. Knowledge of Tagetik is a big plus.
- Fluency in Dutch is required, as well as a very good knowledge of English.
