Job Description

Objective and purpose

  • As a member of the Business Excellence dpt, build own expertise in Opérational Excellence (Lean, SixSigma)
  • Drive the Operational Excelllence program at site/function, supporting business improvements and engaging all employees.
  • Able to coach / lead Rapid Response Initiative to limit product shortage in case of complex investigation
  • Be a strong advocate of Lean / 6sigma methodology at site/function.

Accountabilities

  • Reporting to the head of Business Excellence, the Lean Six Sigma Expert lead and supports the development of key aspects of the continuous improvement program approach, methods and tools.

  • As an expert in the area of continuous improvement and six sigma methodologies, his responsibilities include the oversight and employment of the Lean and six sigma methods and tools within various practice areas and business units.

  • He is able to coach operational excellence practioners in order to develop their lean/six sigma competencies, and able to deliver related training.

  • Ensure that all engagements with the business areas are based on a highly collaborative approach.

  • The Lean Six Sigma Expert will also be responsible for continuously improving the processes and overall program by capturing lessons learned, incorporating best practices and maturing continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions

  • Challenge stakeholders to maximize opportunities from process improvement initiatives.
  • Champion change management across all levels of the organization and prioritize areas of improvement
  • Lead initiatives in a cross functional and diverse environment
  • Facilitate groups through process mapping, root cause analysis, brainstorming, business impact as-sessments, gap analysis and project planning
  • Partner with technology experts (internal and
external as needed) to align processes and systems.
  • Develop, monitor, and report business process improvement against accepted standards.
  • Acknowledge and reward team and team member accomplishments
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Complexity

Education, Behavioural, competencies and skills

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in leading projects in continuous improvement/Lean/six
sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness and tangible financial benefit in operationally complex business environment.
  • Strong project management and/or change management experience required
and PMP certification is a plus. Lean Six Sigma Certification(s), black belt
certification required.
  • A natural leader, comfortable networking and connecting people.
  • Agile learner with proven abilites to put theory into practice
  • Strong facilitation and organisation abilities
  • Excellent listening capabilites
  • Customer centric attitude is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience with applications (Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint...)
  • Proven success in delivering results, and identifying operational opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills.
