As part of the procurement team, you will be in charge of purchasing activities for one or more spend categories. Examples of those categories are aircraft parts like wheels and also indirect cost like facilities, maintenance or energy.

Your Main responsibilities

• You analyse mid and long-term views/market trends and develop know-how and strategies for your categories, build new supplier relationships and develop alternative sources or solutions, direct key initiatives with cross-functional teams, develop key sourcing activities, ensuring equipment and service availability
• You manage your categories through category plans carried by your stakeholders and challenge colleague category managers in order to fulfill continuous improvement regarding category management within the procurement department
• You negotiate framework agreements and guarantee qualitative long-term relationships with suppliers.
• You drive cost reduction and compliance in your categories, make clear recommendations for overall cost improvement and develop strategies to achieve quantifiable savings
• You improve tools and processes to increase procurement overall efficiency
• You will actively search for new suppliers on the market while maintaining an optimal supplier base
• You will work closely with the Procurement officers in order to implement contractual changes and ensure contract adherence from internal stakeholders

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree (economics, business administration, finance or corresponding), or equivalent through professional experience
• At least 5 years professional experience in a multi business-unit procurement environment with proven competence in the management of strategic procurement projects in a similar category
• Track record in developing and negotiating national and international contracts
• CPP, APICS or CIPS certificate is a plus
• Fluent in English. French and Dutch will be considered as a plus
• Previous experience with SAP will be considered a plus
• Excellent knowledge of MS/Office including ability to do your own data analysis based on data from multiple sources and presentations
• Analytical mindset.
