What The Job Is AboutThe significance of microservices and Kubernetes is experiencing exponential growth. And we are looking for people who are enthusiastic about embracing these technologies and evolving alongside them. Within the team there are different opportunities.As an SRE, you will have asignificant impact on the next generation of ‘Miles enterprise suite’. Our software that encompasses -, mid- and back-office functions for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. It encompasses 2 parts: The‘Core’,an ERP software and the complementary‘Microservices Platform’ with extra functionalities and portals that interacts with the Core.Your focus will be on the Microservices Platformand specifically on researching and implementing new tools and technologies to improve its setup.This means you will:
  • Research and experiment with modern technologies in this area to keep improving.
  • Setup the Kubernetes Clusters through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible).
  • Automate deployments through the GitOps approach.
  • Help educating colleagues, within the team but also the project teams who are implementing the software.

The best thing about them though is that they have each other’s back.Your interest and skillsSince the landscape is constantly evolving, the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly is crucial.Besides that, collaboration and communication are very important. You will be collaborating closely with your team members, IT and security and it’s important that everyone is on the same page.What else is expected:
  • A diploma in Informatics, Computer Science or related fields
  • Some years of experience in the following technologies
  • Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service or similar Cloud Kubernetes Services like EKS or GKE)
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • GitOps: FluxCD
  • Helm & Kustomize
  • Monitoring solutions: Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit & Loki
  • Artifact Registries such as Harbor & Azure Container Registry
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Kafka, HVR, JBoss, Oracle, Java, Python, Bash is a plus.
  • Experience through work or internships with at least one public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, ….)
  • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
