SMC Test Analyst


  • Working Location:Mons, Belgium
  • Security Clearance:NATO Secret / SC
  • Language:High proficiency level in English language


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:


Essential Qualifications/Experience:

· University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline; alternatively, 5 years of equivalent experience
· 3+ years recent experience in formal system testing, ideally following Systems Engineering methodologies and best practice
· 2+ years recent experience in creating and managing testing lifecycle in a formal test management tool (e.g. HP Lifecycle Management, Jira with Test Rail, etc)
· 2+ years recent experience in verification and validation of BMC Remedy products. Development experience not necessary
· ITIL 2011 Foundation Certification
· Extensive experience in conducting systems verification and validation as per requirements and end user needs following Systems Engineering methodologies, such as the V model
· Experience:
ü Analysing and assessing requirements in terms of type, verifiability and recommended verification method
ü Creating use cases, test scenarios and test cases against requirements
ü Managing the testing lifecycle in a formal test management tool (e.g. HP Lifecycle Management, Jira with Test Rail, etc)
· Experience of:
ü Coordinating formal test events, raising defects and creating test reports;
ü Conducting testing for different BMC Products (including but not limited to Remedy ITSM Suite v9.x and higher, BMC Discovery v11.x and higher, TrueSight Operations Management)
· General understanding of infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools and technology


Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience using IMB Rational DOORS 9.6
  • Moderate knowledge and experience in ITIL 2011 processes


DUTIES/ROLE

  • Conduct in-depth review and analysis of requirements
  • Prepare use cases, test scenarios and test scripts against requirements
  • Keep the Testing Database used updated with test scripts, test results, and defects
  • Perform or witness test execution of the various test events
  • Analyse the test results and report them to the technical development team
  • Work closely with the development team to correct any bugs / errors prior to formal testing phases, and any defects post formal testing events
  • Produce / support in the production of Test Reports
