The Global Financial Service Organization (GFS) of Agfa is part of the total finance organization within Agfa. For this department, we are currently looking for a Solution & Improvement Architect for Global Financial Services.
Job
In close collaboration with ICS, FP&A, GFS…, the Solution & Improvement Architect for GFS is a key player and driver in the continuous performance improvement of Agfa’s GFS processes and/or the development of new GFS processes. The core focus of this role focusses on using methods, policies, metrics, management practices and software tools to manage and continuously improve our organizations’ GFS processes.
The Solution & Improvement Architect for GFS will take responsibility to monitor, streamline and optimize these processes and is the designated expert for related (IT) systems and technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide governance for a process-oriented organization with the goal of agility and operational performance and therefor customer satisfaction;
- Develop solution design proposals to simplify, automate, and complete key operational flows;
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop, evaluate, and iteratively improve solutions;
- Bring industry standard methodologies and implement latest technologies and upcoming trends;
- Work closely with process and operational expert teams to ensure software and product architectures for the GFS processes are developed in line with the vision and future objectives of the company.
- Lead the implementation of new innovative systems and technologies (Robotic Process Automation (RPA), …), define re-design and process improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
- Build and maintain a clear overview and roadmap of the GFS processes and Master Data.
- Determine overall strategy and priorities and establish together with GFS Head, Regional finance leadership & Other Stakeholders. Design dashboards and metrics as well as improvement methodologies;
- Ensure key GFS processes and capabilities are designed and deployed in an integrated and effective manner within program timelines and scope, focusing on quality, standardization, speed and cost efficiency;
- Actively lead the project portfolio in the area of responsibility ensuring the project portfolio is adequately resourced. Deliver the benefits within agreed timeframe and budget;
- Create and detect synergies, embracing the company values and mind-set.
- Work closely together with the team, as well as the relevant other areas and support functions across the Agfa Organization;
- Ensure successful transition to S/4 HANA for Finance and Master data processes;
- Design, coach, train and develop a strong team that supports all of these deliverables.
- Master’s Degree in Business/Finance, Computer Sciences or related field, with additional training on project management;
- Proven experience (minimum 5-7 years) in process improvement tracks in a global organization with a “shared service center (SSC)” for supporting functions. Preferably experience in a matrixed organization;
- Advanced knowledge of the latest SAP modules (FICO, COPA, COPC…), Finance related tools and Automation technologies (RPA automations…);
- Strong Process and Project management skills: Extensive knowledge and proven record of software development and competent knowledge of standard software development lifecycle and project management techniques/methodologies;
- Experience with system development lifecycle and system management processes, including business requirements, design, and configuration and user acceptance testing;
- Strong, effective and broad communication and change management is a key enabler for success in this role. Pioneering role in change;
- Proven record of partnering with multiple medium-to-large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders;
- Experience in leading and coaching a team of high professionals;
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team (cross-functionally),
- Self-motivated and driven by innovation in methodologies and tools;
- Advanced knowledge of process- and data analytics;
- Fluent in English;
- International travel (10-15%) is expected
- Exceptional organizational, problem solving and analytical skills;
- Ability to work across all areas in an organization and manage various functions and resources. Have the ability to influence and work effectively with operational teams as well as with senior management - across countries;
- Innovative for optimizing tools and systems with ability to think ‘out-of-the-box’ whilst assessing possible risks (for all possible involved stakeholders) and defining risk mitigation strategies;
- Exceptional change management skills: ability to manage resistance and facilitate implementation without disruption or conflicts in order to implement with maximum efficiency (cost, time, …);
- Process oriented with demonstrated capabilities in business process design, modeling and requirements analysis;
- Experience and knowledge on solutions development.
