Solution Architect Logistics (m/v)

• Contributing together with the Business & Technology teams for defining and implementing the IT roadmap for Logistics. You will also be contributing in streamlining the product operations in alignment with the business objectives of the organisation.
• Review the requirements, principles and models and guide technology decisions for the IT organization across different business units at Bekaert.
• Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and implement solutions for improvement.
• Be subject matter expert in Logistics applications (Warehouse Management + Transportation management) as well as in Logistics process knowledge.
• Work closely with product managers, product owners, business analysts, etc. Understand business requirement, design Logistics solutions especially on warehouse maangement, translate to development and implementation team, test the solution end to end on logistics and handover to business analyst or product owner/manager for further deployment.
• Lead technology implementation and modification activities mainly in area of Transportation management and process optimizations in area of Logistics.
• Design, deployment and maintenance of scanning transactions & technologies for Logistics processes mainly in the warehouse areas.
• Interface between SAP and third party WMS systems for transaction and process flow using various Industry standard Interface practices.
• Steer efficient utilization and deployment of various technology products, technology platform, development technologies, information, data, security controls and infrastructure services.
• Works with Bekaert Architect community (e.g., enterprise, business, information, solutions, and security architects) to analyse enterprise business context (business strategy and trends) and derive the future state technology architecture.

Profil

Skills & Competencies

• Solid experience in SAP warehouse management and Logistics, deep technical and business process knowledge.
• Good understanding and hands on knowledge of SAP WM, IM, HUM, TM is must. Knowledge on use of Power BI and SaaS solution in area of transportation management and SAP EWM is plus.
• Good understanding of Logistics Integration within SAP with other integral functions.
• Strong understanding of the current and future technology architecture, including the inter-operability of technologies, within Logistics area.
• Business side experience in area of Logistics is essential.
• Up-to-date knowledge of leading edge technologies and how it can be applied to own area
• Passionate about quality and continuous improvement, strong analytical and problem solving skills, result oriented and proactive
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders as well as solution developers
• Ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results
• Ability to work within an IT organization and in-and-out outsourced environment.
• Project management especially agile working experience is a plus
• Experience with leading a team and collaboration with external IT partners
• Good written and verbal communication skills, multi-cultural sensitivity and willing to travel up to 20% of the time. (international/intercontinental travel)

• Bachelor degree or above with 5-8 years relevant experience, or equivalent through experience.
• 10+ years of overall experience, 5+ years into solution architecture, design and delivery of logistics solutions.
• Experience of leading solution build and implementation at large scale.
• Significant experience in delivering strategic projects is a plus
• Experience in working with globally distributed teams and partners
